My Hall

Sorry guys... I know this post is LONG overdue. My sincere apologies!
This is the hall where I stay in London. Actually, these pictures were taken a month or two ago but I have only recently uploaded the pictures on my camera.

This is the Prince's Gardens outside my hall in autumn. The trees are all bare of leaves by the time I left London for Singapore.

This is the ground floor / lobby of my hall. See the top right-hand corner? This is the pigeon holes where all our mail go to.

My Humble Little Home

I realised that I haven't put up the photographs of my humble little home in London yet. So, here they are.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) The view from my bedroom window. I live on the 6th floor in London, but it is really on the 9th storey in Singapore's context. In my hall, the 1st storey is equivalent to the ground floor here, and the 2nd storey is the lower gallery, 3rd storey is 1st floor, 4th storey is 2nd floor, 5th storey is 3rd floor, 6th storey is the upper gallery, 7th storey is 4th floor, 8th storey is the 5th floor and the 9th storey is the 6 floor. My room is basically on the second highest floor. I can even see the top of the Queen's tower behind the canopy.
2) My humble little room.
3) My comfy little bed.
4) My little extra compartment in my room. 5) My wardrobe.
6) My little fridge. Contents include margarine, tuna, cheese, packets of jam, butter and chili sauce from Burger King Singapore (they don't give chili sauce here in London! What you get here is only tomato ketchup!), ham, cereal, orange juice, apples, plums, tomatoes, milk (the milk here is terrible! It's just drinking very diluted cowhead brand milk. It's nowhere near HL milk at all!) and a bottle of isotonic drink. 7) My chest of drawers.
8) My study desk.
9) My wash basin.
10) Common toilet (shared by 4 people) outside my room.
11) Common bathroom.
12) Common kitchen (shared by 4 people). It is still damn pathetic and tiny. Even the height of the electric stove in the kitchen is ridiculous. It is too high and I can hardly see what's inside my pot when I am cooking macaroni for lunch. Other than that, the microwave oven and the toaster are pretty useful.
13) My room is the one on the right. 14) My staircase.
A Day out in London
The itinerary for yesterday was to visit the free British Museum, shop along Oxford Street and end off the day by buying groceries from Chinatown and Sainsbury, a local supermarket.
After a spending a long afternoon at the British Museum, we walked down to Chinatown and decided to try the Chinese buffet at a restaurant for 4.90 pounds each. Although it was one of the cheapest buffets there, the quality of the food was rather unsatisfactory. Almost 90% of all dishes were deep-fried in mildly rancid oil and the gravies were very salty. Even Alphonso said that he will never eat a 4.90-pound Chinese buffet there ever again. But to be fair, the buffet was rather filling. By eating the buffet, we had settled both lunch and dinner together in one shot. Hehe..
And yes, I bought a nice pink jacket from a shop on Oxford Street for 12 pounds! Shall wear it and take photos in it the next time. So meanwhile, enjoy the photos I took yesterday!
London Tour in Half a Day!
Sorry people, my blog seems very outdated. These are some of the photos taken around some parts of London two weeks ago. I was too busy and, yes, lazy to upload my photos here. But here they are now! Enjoy!
```````````````````````````````````````````
1. London Eye

2. River Thames 3. Horse guards

4. War memorial
5. Westminster Cathedral
6. Yaohao, Charlene, Guangfan and Bing Wen

7. Alfonso, Yaohao, Guangfan, Bing Wen and me

8. Delicious Krispy Kremes Doughnuts from Harrods. (They are simply heavenly! A must-try!)Can you see half of Yaohao's face at the bottom of this picture?

(P.S: Just in case you are wondering why you haven't seen me in this pink outfit before in Singapore, it's because I bought it here in London at Camden Street, the equivalent of Bugis Street in Singapore, only that it is five times bigger than Bugis Street. Hehe... My this pink jacket and the sleeveless blouse inside cost 5 pounds altogether! Cheap right? Haha...)
